HILTI HIT-RE 500V3 in CMU grouted cores
In my understanding one of the recommended options in the face of grout-filled concrete masonry walls it is HIT-HY 270. What is your opinion on using HIT-RE 500V3 in the face of grout-filled masonry wall?

Hi Ze’ev,
HIT-RE 500 V3 does not currently have testing or approvals for use in grout-filled CMU. As such, use of HIT-RE 500 V3 in grout-filled CMU would be entirely at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR).
Other than the HIT-HY 270, other adhesive anchor solutions to consider that have testing for grouted masonry would be the HIT-HY 200-A/R V3 and the HIT-HY 100. I will provide links to resources for these below:
HIT-HY 200-A/R V3 Masonry Resources:
- Masonry Design Guide Excerpt (LRFD)
- Anchor Fastening Technical Guide Excerpt printed page 99 (ASD)
- ESR-4878
HIT-HY 100 Masonry Resources:
