Phishing Notice

Phishing Scams Targeting Construction Professionals

As a committed partner to our customers, your privacy is important to Hilti, and we take steps necessary to preserve it by safeguarding your payment and proprietary details.

Unfortunately, we've recently been made aware of scammers taking advantage of our trusted customer relationships by sending phishing emails requesting sensitive information.

With these types of scamming efforts on the rise, we’d like to share some things to look for and tips to help protect you from falling victim to deceptive tactics. Below are some helpful things to consider when determining if an email is authentic:

  • Watch for emails from senders that use misleading, suspicious, or misspelled domain names, e.g. Hilti.net, Hillti, or Hitli
  • Spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors can be indicators that an email is suspicious
  • Avoid clicking on, opening, or downloading attachments from unknown senders
  • Remain cautious of urgent or consequential language such as your account is at risk if you don’t take certain action

We encourage you to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions when it comes to online security. If you think you have been targeted by a phishing email, we recommend you take the following steps:

1. Contact Hilti immediately at 1-800-950-6196.

2. Contact your local authorities, as they are better positioned to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators.
