What size hole do I drill/ how much hilti 500 epoxy do I use.

I have 3 three holes to drill and chemical anchor. 7/8”, 1” and 1-1/8” are the size of the anchors, what size of hole do I drill for these anchors and how much HIT-RE-500 will I need if the anchors are 20” depth?.
I have been requested to hole saw the holes but to use the HILTI TE-YRT roughening tool before adding epoxy. I have included the engineering notes for clarification.

epoxy adhesive,diamond core hole

Hilti Verified

Hi Brad,

Here is the link to the Hilti Anchor Fastening Technical Guide. The nominal bit diameter for threaded rod with HIT-RE 500 V3 can be found in Table 24 on page 128. Additionally, here is the link for information on the adhesive anchor volume calculator in order to determine the amount of adhesive required for your application.

Regards,
Paris
