How to calculate Flexural Strength of a HAS-R-316SS Anchor Rod?
Need to confirm if the anchor rod is failing in bending.
Load = 192 lbs
eccntricity (moment arm) = 17 in
number of bolts = 2
diameter of HAS bolt = 0.5"

Hi Joseph,
You can find the material properties of the HAS rods here. Additionally, you can use Hilti's PROFIS Engineering software to verify steel failure of the anchor. Ultimately, it is up to the design engineer to determine whether or not the anchor is failing.
