The design methodology for anchorage into masonry base materials is evolving from an Allowable Stress Design (ASD) method to Load & Resistance Factored Design (LRFD) method. With recent changes to the Acceptance Criteria 58 for Post-Installed Anchorage into Masonry, manufacturers must qualify and provide technical data for LRFD design method. In this session, we will discuss the changes in Acceptance Criteria 58, review the various design considerations for LRFD calculations into masonry, and walk-through a design example.
