The focus of this presentation is to gain a better understanding of sound transmission through walls and the effect of joints, and MEP penetration. We will also discuss how different firestop systems can affect the acoustic properties of those walls. We’ll discuss codes and standards for fire rated penetration, and acoustic considerations for those penetrations as well.
