Beyond Bond Strength: The Effect of Moisture (BB003)

Water can’t be controlled on the jobsite, but you don’t have to lose control in design

The moisture condition of concrete has been defined by ACI 318-19 Chapter 26 as a key parameter that needs to be considered during the design and specification of adhesive anchors. Dry concrete, water-saturated concrete, and water-filled holes may have different strength reduction factors which can impact the bond strength of the adhesive and may cause jobsite issues if not accounted for in the design process. - Webinar
