Beyond Bond Strength: Temperature Considerations for Adhesive Anchors (BB002)

Chemical anchoring systems should be able to perform in realistic temperature ranges

Temperature is a key design consideration, as outlined by ACI 318-19 Chapter 26, in the selection and specification of adhesive anchors due to the impact of temperature on bond strength. Extended curing times or too short working times from cold or hot working conditions can impact adhesive installation, jobsite timelines, and bond strength of the adhesive which may not have been accounted for in the design phase of the connection. - Webinar
