Gain an understanding of the two methodologies for Baseplate design and analysis.

The presentation will define why a baseplate is essential for maintaining structural integrity. It will then discuss two alternate ways to design and analyze baseplates. The conventional code based, and AISC approved Design Guide 1 method, and secondly an alternate Finite Element Analysis based non-linear methodology for the more advanced user.
