Wood ledger board
Is it possible to use PROFIS to model a wood ledger board attached to a masonry or concrete wall? Such as a wood deck to a foundation wall.

Hi Robert,
Steel ledger angles per AISC standards can be modeled within PROFIS Engineering under the anchor plate tab. Wood ledger angles and wood anchor plates are not currently an option within the software.

Hello Emily,
I realize that but to get an idea I used a 1 1/2" thick plate 11.25" (2 x 12) by 20" long plate loaded with a 1" thk plate in the middle (T-shaped config.) also anchored to concrete FDN wall. Distribution to anchors probably not equal due to wood versus steel, 4 bolt arrangement, 2 each side of load.
This would be an application Hilti should consider adding.
