i am working on a wood frame project. We are fire caulking pvc pipes 3” and under. We have always installed the fire caulk at the bottom of the top stud and the top of the bottom stud. We are being asked to caulk at the ceiling as well even though it has been done from above(top of bottom stud on floor above). Is this the approved method? It would require 3 spots to caulk per floor.
