wood 2x nailer to 1/2 thick tube recommended fastener either self drilling or pre drill or expansion
Looking for a fastener for fastening a 2x nailer to a 1/2" thick tube

Hi Steve,
Please refer to Section 3.2.2.4 of Hilti's Direct Fastening Technical Guide for information regarding attaching wood to steel using PAFs. Due to the thickness of the steel, some predrilling of the wood will be required in order to get the fastener to fully penetrate the steel.
