Within Profis Eng. Suite why does CBFEM show greater stress value when changing from A36 to A572-Gr50?
Is there a reason the stress value increases when I change the base plate material from A36 to A572-Gr50, i.e. what is intended to be 36 ksi to 50 ksi yield respectively? The stress should go down. And why are the anchor forces changing due to the base plate material change with an equal ASTM modulus of elasticity? Reference attchment.
