Why does Profis not allow for the use of HAS stainless rods for seismic condition?

I am trying to use SS anchor rods with epoxy and as soon as select seismic loading, all SS rods disappear. Can the HAS SS rods not be used in seismic conditions?

Hi Peggy,

The seismic tension and shear type that you have selected may be filtering out the certain anchoring options in PROFIS Engineering. By changing the tension and shear types, stainless steel threaded rods should reappear as a design option with HIT-RE 500 V3.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com.

Best,

Mia

From the information I can find in the ICC report, A193 SS complies with the ductility requirements per ACI. I understand that for bolts larger than 1-1/8" Hilti uses A193SS. Is there a reason that it still doesn't assume it is ductile?
