Where does the minimum distance between anchors (6.25) for HIT RE 500 V3 come from?

Is this a code or Hilti requirement that has this minimum spacing requirement? what code can it reference, I am trying to use 5" to match the original base plate but now the anchor bolts are post installed and the spacing requirements have changed.

Hello Sarah,

Thank you for reaching out. The minimum installation parameters such as edge distance, anchor spacing, and concrete thickness, are established through testing per the appropriate ICC Acceptance Criteria and displayed in the ICC Evaluation Service Report. For HIT-RE 500 V3, this is shown in ICC ESR-3814, Table 7, with testing in accordance with AC308 which incorporates requirements from ACI 355.4.

PROFIS Engineering pulls directly from the ICC Evaluation Service Reports, hence why the warning message is displaying. In cases where the minimums are not met, concrete splitting is a significant concern, and the application would be outside of Hilti’s published test data.

Kind regards,
Sinan
