What's the effect on mechanical anchor capacity by using epoxy/dowel nearby?
Does capacity of mechanical anchor (from concrete failure) get affected if there is epoxy/dowel bar is also used nearby (let's say 6" away)?
If yes, to what extent? how to evaluate the reduced capacity?

Hi Prbhash,
A mechanical anchor and an adhesive anchor may be used adjacent to each other if the minimum anchor spacing for both specific anchors that will be installed is maintained. If the minimum anchor spacing for either anchor is going to be violated, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com with additional details related to your application for further assistance.
