I have a transition between a 2-hr shaft wall (1st floor) and a 1-hr (2nd floor) exterior wall and need to know how to provide a fire stopping condition between them. Would a fire retardant wood blocking (see clouded area) be sufficient or should I use another type of firestopping material?
