Weathering Steel Anchor Bolts
Are the KB-TZ2 anchor bolts compatible with weathering steel?

Hi Brandon,
The KB-TZ2 may be used to fasten weathering steel to concrete or grout-filled CMU base materials. However, it will ultimately be the responsibility of the engineer on the project to evaluate any corrosion concerns and determine if the anchors are suitable for the given application. For additional information related to corrosion, please reference the Corrosion Handbook on Hilti's website. In general, stainless-steel fasteners are recommended for corrosive environments.
