Utilizing HIT-RE 500 epoxy for seismic cyclic loading.
I came across an code addendum stating that "the capacity of hold-down connectors that do not consider cyclic loading of the product shall be reduced to 75% of the allowable earthquake load values". Since I am planning to use HIT-RE 500 epoxy to connect new hold-downs to existing concrete, I was wondering if HIT-RE 500 epoxy considers cyclic loading, and if I can get away without this 25% reduction.
