Use of HY-200submerged in sewage

I am using Hilti anchors in a wastewater treatment plant. The anchors will be installed in dry conditions, however, they will be submerged in sewage during service life. What is the epoxy adhesive recommended/approved for this application? Can I use HIT-HY 200? Or only HIT-RE 500 V3 is allowed? Thanks.

Hilti Verified

Hi Prabhu,

Both HIT-HY 200 V3 and HIT-RE 500 V3 may be exposed to submerged conditions when fully cured, but please note that only HIT-RE 500 V3 may be installed in a submerged condition.

Also, cured HIT-HY 200 V3 is resistant to sewage sludge, per the chemical resistance chart on page 104 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide.

Regards,
Matthew
