Undercut anchors through stay-in-place forms
Can HDA-P undercut anchors be installed through metal stay-in-place forms into the underside of a concrete roof slab, provided that the proper embedment into concrete is achieved for the desired loading?

Hi Ben,
The HDA does not have testing into a concrete over metal deck base material. To find an alternative mechanical anchor that has testing into concrete over metal deck, please see Hilti’s Anchor Product Technical Guide from Hilti's website. Below are quick links to sections of the Tech Guide:

- Section 3.3 Mechanical Anchoring Systems starting on page 261
- The most commonly considered expansion/wedge anchor is the Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ2
Ultimately, all design decisions are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.
