We have 1 hour fire partition directly in line (parallel) with a roof bar joist and are curious what options are available to maintain the rating around the joist. Also, what recommended products could be used building the same wall system around joists running perpendicular to the wall? I'm curious if there are products to accommodate this or if the wall needs to "jog" around the bar joist in the scenario where they are parallel.

Thank you for reaching out to the Hilti Fire Protection Design Team to assist you with your firestop engineering needs. The only existing system we have with a joist is HW-D-0218, which is for a fireproofed joist running perpendicularly through the head-of-wall joint. However, if your joist is bare, you would need to request a Engineering Judgment, which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.
