Top of 1-hour wall fire caulk
Our condition is a metal building with vinyl faced blanket insulation at the roof. We have our 1-hour wall framing & drywall tight (compressed) against the blanket insulation without gaps. Do we need to fire caulk the top of the wall in this condition??

Hello GLB,
Because the wall has a fire-resistance rating there is firestop required at the top where it meets the roof. See the uploaded CJD systems below for the solutions Hilti has tested. If these systems do not match your actual conditions on site, please submit an engineering judgement request so that we can address it correctly by visiting https://www.hilti.com/ej (US) or https://www.hilti.ca/ej (Canada).
