The tightening torque is insufficient
3/8" diameter kwik bolt TZ2 Exp. Anchors in low flute of concrete-filled steel deck are not able to meet torque specifications due to the concrete becoming too brittle after installation. they were only meeting 8-10 pounds installation torque. The bolts are taking shear force. Can we keep the bolts and reduce the shear capacity?

When installing the KWIK BOLT TZ2 into the lower flute of concrete-filled steel deck many factors may impact the installation torque. Here are a few things to check for:
- Minimum spacing requirements comply with ESR-4266
- Installed according to Hilti's Instructions for Use
- Applied loads does not exceed the capacity of the anchor
