I am being asked to firestop bare plastic, copper with fiber glass insulated pipe, and bare metal pipe, using firestop device CP 680 P through a 4 1/2” concrete floor over metal decking and to hold a T rating of 2 hrs. Are there any 2 hr T rating Hilti systems that involve just the cp 680 P CID sleeves? Or will I need to have an EJ made up?
I thought these CP 680 sleeves had their own UL Hilti System that covered 2 hr T ratings and F ratings
Hello Elizabeth - there are a few different systems you can use to address these conditions. Anything not covered by these systems would need to be an EJ.

In a situation like this one, I was told to use the CP680 P sleeves for all floor penetrations 6" and under in diameter.
After ordering the sleeves and the correct sizes and counts, the CM (Turner Construction CO.) Asks me to provide documentation on the CP680P sleeves carrying a 2 hr T rating for all areas/locations that I am using these cp 680p sleeves.
I was under the impression that these sleeves were meant to carry a 2 hr F and T rating within the sleeve itself and that no other material would be needed or added to fufill the systems UL 2 HR T AND F Ratings.
What devise should have been used to fulfill a 2 HR T rating at the floors for all 3 kinds of penetrants, Plastic pipe, Bare Metal Pipe, and Metallic/copper with 1.5" insulation penetrants.
Also for instance,
If I have a 1 1/4" copper pipe with 1.5" pvc/ABS insulation or glass fiber (3" in total, 1.5" on either side totallying 3") this would total 5" in diameter for the pipe and require a 6" CP 680P CID correct? Is there a hilti system that would cover insulated pipe through CP 680 sleeves while also carrying a 2 hr T rating and 2 hr F rating at the floor (4 1/2" concrete over metal decking)?
I also have 4" bare metal pipe passing through 4" cp 680 p sleeves that also require a 2 hr T rating. Wouldnt I need an EJ to fufill this 2 HR T rating requirement for these 2 types of pipes and sizes, insulated, bare metal? Thanks

This is requesting FYREWRAP insulation be wrapped around pipe 36" above floor. Ive never used FYREWRAP but I have used Hilti EndoThermic Wrap... Hilti does not offer a system for bare metal pipe through CP 680 P using the Hilti Endo Wrap instead of a different brand? Thanks If an EJ could be created using the endothermic Hilti wrap, Id prefer to use that
