Sustained load duration
I am designing a temporary tower and one of the columns connected to the existing concrete with adhesive anchors seeing tension for probably 2-3 weeks, would this qualify for sustained load?

Hi Funda,
In the case of sustained tension loads, the following guidance is provided in Section 3.1.8 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide. This 0.55 factor is referenced starting in ACI 318-19 Section 17.5.2.2 and correlated with ACI 355.4 test requirements. The final decision to treat a load as sustained or not is up to the Engineer of Record on the project.
