Refer to HCAI OPM-0537-19, page 2 of 31 and page 3 of 31 for the previous design.
The previous design is for (2) 1/2" diameter Hilti KB-TZ anchors at 3.33" spacing (compliance with ESR-1917 reissued Jan 2020), today Hilti Profis requires (2) 1/2" diameter Kwik BoltTZ2 to have 3.5" spacing. The effective embedment is 2" and the slab is 4" thick. Is it acceptable to substitute Hilti KB-TZ with the Kwik Bolt TZ2 even though spacing requirements are not met?

In order to substitute the KB-TZ for the KB-TZ2, you will need to generate a design based on the KB-TZ2. The decision to install the KB-TZ2 at a smaller edge distance or anchor spacing than the minimum would be up to the discretion of the engineer of record for the project.
