Speed Up Cure Time
We are getting asked by contractors if it is acceptable to heat up the threaded rods when installing HILTI HY-270 in clay masonry to speed up the cure time. Is this an acceptable installation method? Does HILTI offer any other adhesives that dry faster in colder temperatures?

Hi Ryan,
There is not a way to speed up the cure time of any of Hilti's adhesive anchoring systems. HIT-HY 270 is the only adhesive anchoring option for masonry base materials unless you have grout-filled concrete masonry units. If you are installing into grout-filled CMU, you could consider the HIT-HY 200 V3 adhesive anchoring system.
