Shear lug design for seismic requirements.
Does Hilti have any recommendations or comments regarding using shear lugs to meet the seismic requirements of ACI 318-19 Ch. 17 for SDC C and beyond. Often times I am utilizing a ductile failure mechanism with sleeved anchor rods and then designing a shear lug for Overstrength. Can strain hardening be assumed for the shear lug and phi factors removed?
