Shear capacity of PAF attaching wood 2x to flange of hot-rolled W.
I need to transfer shear from a wood wall into a steel beam through a 2x nailer attached to the flange of the W shape with PAF's. What is the shear capacity of the connector? Is shear controlled by the wood? Is there any information on spacing requirements of PAF's in wood?

Technical information on Hilti's general application powder actuated fasteners can be found in Section 3.2.5 of Hilti's Direct Fastening Product Technical Guide. Information relating to the recommended length of the fastener for attaching wood to steel can be found on page 24 of the same technical guide.
