We are needing a detail for a head of wall shaftwall condition. The shaft is a 2hr shaftwall and there are voids between the high flute and the top track. Is there a detail to avoid getting into the shaft to complete the rating from the double layer side of this shaft? For example possible stuffing the gap then spray/caulking from outside the shaft?

Please see the attached listed firestop system HWD0750. It allows the joint at the head of the shaft wall to be stuff with mineral wool safing and sprayed with our CFS-SP WB Firestop Joint Spray from the finished side of the shaft. If this side is in-accessible or you would require another modification we can address the differences with an engineering judgement.
