Shaft liner stacked joint
I have a shaft liner stacked joint panel with a cut edge and not a factory to factory edge. Does this joint have to be caulked or fire taped ? the gap is approx 1/8 inch

Tom,
Thank you for your question. It is actually out of Hilti's Fire Protection Design Team's scope to determine when or where firestop is/not required. My recommendation would be to reach out to your Authoring Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to receive guidance on this application, as the AHJ may want this condition addressed through mud and tape or through a firestop solution.
