UL902 (attached) does not acknowledge Powder Actuated Fasteners can be used for deck-to-steel attachments nor are sidelap screws acknowledged. It appears only welding can be used to qualify under this assembly designation for deck-to-steel attachments. UL902 gives permitted sidelap fastening of either welds or button punches, but not screws. I am seeking to see if using the PAF's and screws will preserve the rating. All other requirements are checked and have been met.

It sounds like you are looking to make a substitution to the UL design number itself and confirm that such substitutions can maintain the fire-rating. Hilti does not design assemblies, so it is outside the scope of Hilti to provide guidance on making any changes to a UL-listed assembly. My recommendation would be to reach out to UL or your Authority Having Jurisdiction for any direction on amending a UL-listed assembly.
