Reference ESR #4266 - 1/2 Hilti Kwik Bolt
The min. spacing for a 1/2" CS Kwik Bolt with 1 1/2" embed is 12"? This seems erroneous to me. I am just interested if this is correct, and why?

Hi Jeremiah,
The minimum anchor spacing in ESR-4266 for the KB-TZ2 is 12 inches. This value was found through testing and should be maintained in order to use Hilti's published values.

Understood, sorry, I'm going to push back a bit. Only because this only benefits you guys. Could it be a typo? Example: The spacing for the next deeper embedment is 3.5 inches for a 2 inch embed. Further, for a 5/8 inch diameter bolt with a 2.75 inch embed, you get a min spacing of 4.5 inches. Even by testing measures and ACI Ch17, 12 inches would not make sense. Maybe 2 inches. Anyway, just my 2 cents. I can always use a deeper anchor and get closer spacing with more capacity, no? Thanks!! Jeremy
