Has HILTI performed any tests to determine the reduction of bond strength achieved with core temps in excess of 104F using HY200 V3-R? What is the reduction in the tensile pull strength from the concrete, if they epoxy is "baked" to cure with elevated levels of core material temperatures during installation. A flash curing with incomplete strength is assumed, but needs to be verified by HILTI. Installations in Phoenix AZ in daytime projects at mid summer have record core temps above 110 F. Need table/chart to show the degradation of residual strengths for such applications.
Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, Hilti has not performed any tests for HIT-HY 200 V3 installed into concrete with a temperature higher than 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The decision to install into a base material with a temperature higher than 104 degrees would be up to the Engineer of Record for the project.
If you would like to discuss this application further, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com or give us a call at 877-749-6337.
Regards,
Ashley
