Profis corrosion resistance table clarfication and mechanical type hot dipped galvanized anchors

Profis corrosion resistance table does not specify this third option: Sherardized, hot dip galvanized, mechanically galvanized. Can you please explain difference between this option and the one above it?
I'm looking at mechanical anchor and wanted to know if there are hot dipped galvanized anchor options? On Profis I don't see any.

Hello Elvis,

Thank you for reaching out. The KH-EZ CRC (Corrosion Resistant Coating) pictured in your screenshot from PROFIS Engineering has a mechanically deposited zinc coating with a minimum thickness of 0.0021 inches (53 micrometers) in accordance with ASTM B695, Class 55 per the Product Technical Guide Excerpt.

In terms of a mechanical hot-dip galvanized (HDG) anchor, Hilti offers a HDG Kwik Bolt 3 (KB3) wedge anchor. However, this product only has an ICC Evaluation Service Report for uncracked concrete conditions – ICC ESR-2302. If your PROFIS Engineering file is set to cracked concrete, however, this anchor will not appear since PROFIS Engineering pulls from the ICC Evaluation Service Reports to perform its calculations. For cracked concrete conditions, use of an adhesive anchor system with a HDG element may be of interest.

For additional questions, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com

Kind regards,
Sinan
