I decided to use the new concrete-to-concrete module and I do not understand the results I am getting which appear to state the condition I am showing as being "NOT OK". I created both a concrete pier condition in the concrete-to-concrete module and a typical anchoring-to-concrete base plate condition to compare the two. This appears to work in the anchoring-to-concrete condition but not the concrete-to-concrete. I noticed that even when I reduced my load to 500lbs the concrete-to-concrete was still saying it was "NOT OK". I just want to make sure I understand the information it is telling me as this condition appears to be acceptable, or near acceptable. Thanks.
Hi Ryan,
The Anchoring-to-Concrete module and Concrete-to-Concrete module in PROFIS Engineering will evaluate designs differently. For more information related to designing for yield using anchoring-to-concrete provisions in the Concrete-to-Concrete module, please see this AskHilti article. Ultimately, it will be up to engineering judgement to decide which report results to reference for your design.
