Profis Anchor Plate Edge Distance

2016 AISI S100 J4.2 requires 1.5d or 1.5x times the nominal anchor diameter as stated previously above. I am having issues with the Hilti Profis Engineering software. For example, I have a 3/8" KH-EZ screw anchor and it is requiring a 0.748" edge distance. This is closer to a 1/2" nominal anchor size with the 1.5 factor. It appears Profis adds approximately 1/8" to the diameter for screw anchors and 1/16" for epoxy, expansion, cast-in-place, etc. Why is this and is there code requirement for this increase?

Also, why do the parameters in the setting only apply to new models and do not impact the design of older models already made?
