Powder Actuated Fastenres
What is the best way to connect wood that is 2.5" thick to an HSS with a wall thickness of 5/16"? I just need a positive connection, no force going through it.

Hi John,
See the Hilti Direct Fastening Technical Guide for Hilti’s power actuated fastener and self-drilling screw selection, particularly the selection guide on page 26. Possible fasteners that can be used for a wood to steel connection include the X-PN 37 G3 MX Fastener and the X-U Universal Knurled Shank Fasteners.
Best Regards,
Emily
