Post - Installed Anchors to Insulated Precast Panel Walls
I am attaching a guard rail to a 10" Precast Panel wall (3" conc | 4" Insulation | 3" conc.). What is the appropriate thickness of concrete to be used? Or, what is the most appropriate anchor to use for such conditions? Can an expansion anchor be utilized?

Hi Jose,
Unfortunately, Hilti does not have any testing for the application that you have described. However, engineers have referred to Hilti’s Technical Supplement for anchoring to Hollow Core Concrete Panels for design assistance. Ultimately, all decisions are up to the Engineer of Record for the project.
