Post installed anchor for pan joist
I am looking for anchorage I can use for small mechanical equipment on top of an existing pan joist building. The slabs are as thin as 2 1/2" to 3" in some locations. Can you recommend and anchor that can be used in thin substrate in SDC D?

Hi Rob,
For anchor product selection help, please see Hilti’s Anchor Product Technical Guide from Hilti's website. Below are quick links to sections of the Tech Guide:
- Anchor Selection Chart on pages 4-7 - a helpful comparison of Hilti's anchors
- Section 3.2 Adhesive Anchoring Systems starting on page 30
- Commonly considered ultimate-performance adhesive anchors for concrete are HIT-HY 200 V3 (fast cure) and HIT-RE 500 V3 (slow cure)
- HIT-RE 500 V3 Technical Data with threaded rod
- HIT-HY 200 V3 Technical Data with threaded rod
- Section 3.3 Mechanical Anchoring Systems starting on page 261
- The most commonly considered expansion/wedge anchor is the Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ2
Ultimately, all design decisions are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.
Regards,
Emily
