I am performing a connection design for an indoor handrail system. The posts will be mounted to an existing masonry wall that will have the applicable cell columns filled solid with concrete. This is a delegated design and I am the engineer for the connection. The contractor is proposing to use angle connections as shown on attached. When I use an angle as a profile, the ability to enter the N value and Moments are removed. Plese assist
Hi James,
Currently, shear loads (vertical and in plane) are the only loads that are able to be added to ledger angle designs in PROFIS Engineering. This is the reason why the tension and moment load boxes are greyed out and unable to be edited. Hilti has found it is most common to only have shear loads on wall ledger angles, which is why Hilti's software development team only programmed for shear loads. Hopefully this is something that can be updated in the future.

Dani
Thank you. While waiting for a response, I was able to model the angle with a base plate and rectangular prism profile piece. Then I was able to enter all the applicable loads, use all eccentricity provisions provided by Hilti to model the applied loads, including "N" load and moments.
