I would recommend reaching out to the gypsum manufacturer if you are trying to use gypsum as a patching material. Or we can address your application with firestop material through an Engineering Judgment (EJ) which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.


For an EJ you will use our HILTI CONSTRUCTION PLATFORM (HCP). This platform will be the home for all of your Fire Protection Engineering needs, including Engineering Judgment requests.
