Does Hilti make a power-actuated fastener recommended for plywood direct to steal beam connection? I have a project with tight clearances and I'd like to attach the plywood diaphragm directly to the steel beams, instead of to a nailer.

For attaching wood to steel base materials, you could consider either the X-U or the X-DS Fastener. Technical data for the X-DS fastener can be found on page 35 of Hilti's Direct Fastening Technical Guide and technical data on the X-U can be found on page 40 of the guide. Section 3.2.2.4 of Hilti’s Direct Fastening Technical Guide is also a helpful tool for information regarding the attachment of wood to steel base materials.
Ultimately, all design decisions (including final fastener selection) are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.
