Oversized Hole Adequacy and Correct Epoxy in Software

Hello,

I am working on an anchor design in the Profis software. Based on loads and requirements, I would like to specify the HIT-200R and HAS threaded rods for the anchors. However, the Profis software only includes the HIT-Z anchor with the 200R epoxy. I do not see an option for the correct desired options of epoxy and anchor.

Also, the hole for the installation will be oversized as these anchors are replacing current anchors that are to be core drilled out of the slab. Are there reduction factors or any documentation stating the maximum size holes for anchors and epoxy? Simpson has documents like this, but I am not aware if Hilti does or if they are available. Thus far, I have not found anything like this from Hilti.

Hi David,

You can select the HIT-HY 200 V3 with threaded rods in PROFIS Engineering by selecting the "HIT-HY 200 V3 + HAS" option within the anchoring tab. I have included a snippet below for your reference.

Hilti does have testing for oversized hole applications with the HIT-RE 500 V3. Information on the HIT-RE 500 V3 with oversized holes can be found in this technical bulletin. Please note, there is no additional testing for the HIT-HY 200 V3 with oversized holes.

Regards,
Ashley
