In our facility we have 6" concrete over metal deck slabs, we need to anchor equipment on a regular basis to these slabs. I am trying to run some numbers on the Hilti Profis software to check the epoxy anchors we are using. But the software does not let me select adhesive anchors for this type of deck. Can we get some support on this

Anchoring into concrete over metal deck is outside the scope of the ICC-ES Evaluation Service Reports and testing for all Hilti adhesive anchors. This is why the Anchoring to Concrete-Over-Metal-Deck module in PROFIS Engineering does not include adhesive anchors as an option. Typically, engineers use the “anchoring to concrete module” if they determine the concrete slab was thick enough to negate the effects of the metal deck. Ultimately, the engineer on the project should consider engineering judgment and on-site evaluation to determine suitability for the application.
