Nonmetallic Pipe Wall Thickness

Nonmetallic pipe floor penetration, 2hr, C-AJ-2110, 3D - can a wall thickness less than Schedule 40 for FRPP vented piping system be used with this listing? Is the Sch 40 wall thickness the maximum, minimum, or absolute for this listing? Should I request an EJ for a different wall thickness?

Hi Tom - for CAJ 2110 (and all other listings), the wall thicknesses allowed will always be specified. So for this specific one, the only wall thickness allowed is Sch 40. You can submit for an EJ request for guidance on any other wall thicknesses.

Hilti is proud to announce the launch of our engineering website, the HILTI CONSTRUCTION PLATFORM (HCP). This platform will be the home for all of your Fire Protection Engineering needs, including Engineering Judgment requests. You can find more information on how to access this new platform here: hilti.com/ej (US) or hilti.ca/ej (Canada.)
