metal stud track attach to masonry wall
I would like to attach a metal stud track to a masonry wall to hold one end of a metal stud joist. The other end will sit on metal stud wall. Any recommendation on how to attach track to masonry wall (brick)

Hi Sara,
Metal tracks are typically installed with power-actuated fasteners however, there is limited technical data for masonry base materials. Hilti’s General Application Fasteners have technical data for concrete masonry units, found here, but there isn’t further data for brick installations.
Hilti’s KWIK-CON+ concrete and masonry screw may be an alternative option, with load values for brick.
