Metal stud shear wall bottom track fasteners/anchor options

I am designing a metal stud shear wall with wood sheathing and am looking fastener (PAF?) or anchor bolt that can be used to attach the wall bottom track to the concrete/metal deck/ bar joists floor and concrete basement wall that supports the metal stud wall. What fastener or anchor bolt would be appropriate to transfer the shear wall load of 660 plf through the bottom wall track to the concrete slab and where can I find the design load tables for such fasteners? The building is in a Seismic Design Category D location.

Hi Alayna,

Technical information for Hilti's drywall track fastening systems for concrete, steel, and masonry base materials may be found in Section 3.2.9 of the Direct Fastening Technical Guide. Alternatively, engineers commonly consider using a screw anchors such as the KH-EZ to fasten track to concrete. Technical information for the KH-EZ can be found in Section 3.3.6 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide.

Also, this article on Hilti's website discusses powder-actuated fasteners to attach track to concrete, which may be helpful when selecting a fastener for your application

Regards,
Matthew
