Can we use adhesive filled mechanical anchors to protect them from water and corrosion?

Hi PJ,
Hilti recently released a new anchor system combining the KWIK HUS-EZ screw anchor and KHC adhesive capsule. The Hilti KWIK-X is the first of its kind on the market, combining the high performance of adhesive anchors and installation speed and simplicity of screw anchors. However, the adhesive will not necessarily protect the anchors from corrosion. It may be possible for water to penetrate the KHC adhesive, so corrosion concerns would still need to be verified by the Engineer of Record.
